Chicago PD Basing Policy Changes on Reforms in Seattle, Cleveland

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Chicago Police Department is making changes to various police policies and procedures on force and other issues "based on a review of systems in place in Seattle, Cleveland, Cincinnati – all cities that have been forced to revamp their departments following investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice."

PARC's Merrick Bobb is the monitor overseeing court-mandated reforms in Seattle.  PARC's Matthew Barge is the monitor overseeing court-mandated reforms in Cleveland.  The Monitoring Teams in both Seattle and Cleveland feature law enforcement experts who were part of the team that oversaw court-mandated reforms in Cincinnati.
