Projects

PARC conducts projects in the United States and abroad to assist government officials and others seeking to institute policing and law enforcement oversight reforms.  The projects have focused on assessing and strengthening citizen oversight agencies; reviewing early warning systems; analyzing use-of-force incidents, including supervision, tactics, and subsequent investigations; assisting police and city officials responsible for complying with consent decrees or memoranda of agreement to implement reforms; tracking community satisfaction with police agencies; reducing a department’s exposure to litigation and learning lessons from past lawsuits; and providing expert services and advice to businesses on racial profiling, false arrest, and relevant topics.
